LexCath rolls past McCreary Central
Posted by Mike Fields on December 27, 2008
Defending tournament champ Lexington Catholic blew it open in the second half and won81-58. Knights senior star Vee Sanford had 17 points despite sitting out the first half with a sore knee. Aaron Watts, who had 34 points in McCrearyâs first-round win, had 22 against the Knights.
UK Coach Billy Gillispie has a front-row seat, presumably to watch LexCathâs Vee Sanford. Sanford sat out the first half with tendinitis in his right knee, but the Knights were still able to build a 39-28 halftime lead. Sanford is seeing action in the second half.

Nice win for Lex Cath. I'd love to see Sanford at UK next year.

Sanford was offered for 2010, meaning that he would have to play at the JUCO level for one season before coming to UK.
Nice win for the Knights, MC isn't that bad of a team.
