Where have you heard he would go? I do not see him leaving JC anytime soon unless he wants to retire and he should be a few more years from doing that. I believe he wants to make a real run at a state championship and if that were to happen then he may call it quits. It would be interesting to see if he would ever leave JC for another school.

Where are the rumors coming from? I for one do believe that Matney would leave JC, and I know one program he would leave for, and thats Belfry, it would be a chance for him to coach his alma mater. I have always thought that Matney would love to be the head coach on Pond Creek.

I have the same rumor due to him being on the wrong side of politics over there and some of the strong business people want him out. As far as him coaching at Belfry, don't see that happening because its been said too many times that when Haywood does step down that Shawn Hager at Sheldon Clark would be the man to take over the BUCS.:flame:

Sorry but this is an ubsubstantiated rumor and the thread is closed.

If someone can provide some concrete proof I will reopen the thread but I won't just based on hearsay.
