After 2 straight wins Middlesboro is starting to look like a great Middlesboro team of the past. After defeating 6A Lexington Dunbar last week, Middlesboro defeated 4A Lee Co, VA tonight by 23 points. Lee Co upsetted Middlesboro last year so Middlesboro returned the favor tonight with the win. Middlesboro's passing game is becoming a trend with Freshman QB Chase Roark connecting with 2 BIG passing TD's tonight. Middlesboro's running attack is led by 2 backs and All Stater Hunter Adams!! The lost to Whitley Co is haunting us now with Hunter having cramps and throwing up the whole game in week 1. Also it was Chase Roarks first Varsity start as a Freshman. Since then Middlesboro is growing and getting experience.

Congrats on the win. Didn't get go but it sounds like you all had a great team. We knew all about Adams of course, but Roark, Foister, and such sounded like very much solid players themselves. Lee hadn't gave more than 104 or so total yards of offense through the first two games and that included the game against PV. Kind of reminiscent of that game with the chances to score and unable to get it across. Congrats and good luck on the rest of your season.

By the way, again, its not Lee Co. There's no County in the school name. Just an FYI, I've noticed the media do that too, especially the Sports Overtime segment on WYMT.

Are you serious with that first line? Those are good teams they beat, but that is almost laughable to compare them with some of the GREAT teams they have had there in the past.

We do not want to be compared to nobody, these young men are just trying to keep the Jacket Pride alive. Everybody is chipping in and doing their part. I'll admit our line is kind of small, and we don't have too much depth, but for a 2A team we're doing the best we can. I think that our tough games are yet to come. If our line can man up with the big boys we might just surprise everyone. Good luck Jackets.
