Of the teams highlighted in BOLD, how do these polls stack-up to the BGR East KY Top 20?

Thoughts?

I see Estill County made it and didn't make in the BGR Poll...Sheldon Clark is lightly higher than Breathitt County in their respective class, while SC is well below Breathitt in the BGR.

Corbin is ahead of Pburg in their respective class while they are close in this week's BGR Top 20.

Raceland is well ahead of Hazard in the Class A AP poll unlike the BGR Top 20...

2A must be really weak if Knott Central is 13th...........

I agree. I was wondering how in the world they got that many votes.

This is the same Knott Central who went 1-10 last year (later amended to 2-9 due to an East Ridge forfeit), a record which included a loss to 1A lightweight Allen Central and the remainder were blowouts.

Surely the state's voters weren't giving them that much credit for beating up on little 1A Harlan, a team who went 1-9 last year?

It's really quite shocking seeing them in their over Shelby Valley or Bath County.

Most of the state voters from Western Ky know very little about EKY football.
They usually simply just look at who won or lost and hardly considar who they played. It's very difficult for people from different parts of the state to see other teams. Like many people in the mountians never seen Green Co. play, as many people in Central KY never seen Hazard play. As more games are played you can sort of look at scores and different things like that to compare teams, but it's almost imppossible after Week 1

How about overall class rankings? IMO

1. 6A
2. 5A
3. (Tie) 4A & 3A
5. 1A
6. 2A

I may give a slight edge to 3A over 4A, but its a tough call.

10 bucks says the AP Pollster's got Knott Central and Knox Central confused.

That would make sense......KCC being just 1 spot from teams like Middlesboro is unreal.
