I want to know who everyones opinion on who they think will win each class and who they think will be surprising some people in each class as well?

AAAAAA: The biggest grand daddy of them all. I will go out on a limb and say either Trinity or St. X will hoist the Trophy. No EKY team will challange here.
AAAAA: One of the classes that will be dominated like no other. Highlands has my vote (from here on out). Bowling Green and Covington Catholic could also be trouble. No EKY team will challange here.
AAAA: Is the tale of 2 teams. Lexington Catholic & Bell Co. are the only teams that will win this one IMO. Lone Oak (last years state runner-up) was the worst team I have ever seen in the state finals. The West is weak.
AAA: Belfry is the top dog untill someone proves other wise. Russell and Breathitt will make noise but neither can beat Belfry.
AA: The weakest of all classes I think. P'burg might be the best AA team in eastern KY and should be a serious threat with lack of talent across the state. But in the end Newport Central Catholic and Fort Campbell will play for the big one with Campbell taking 2 in a row.
A: The class resevered for private schools. Beechwood will be, well Beechwood. LCA will be athletic as always. Mayfield will be tough again, and Hazard will be the beast of the East. I'll go with the winner of Beechwood a & Mayfield as the champ.

Good assessment, but teams you may have forgotten:
AAA Lou. Central will be loaded again led by their defense that returns 3 D-1 recruits, Paducah Tilghman returns nearly everyone from the team that pused Central to their limits.
AAAAA John Hardin will be a very, very good ball club out west.

You are right about John Hardin who will be as dangerous if not more dangerous than any team in AAAAA not named Highlands. Tilghman is one of the best track schools around and always has uber-athletic kids, I should have mentioned them. I thought about Central, but their schedule has made me think against them. I don't know if they can make it through that schedule 2 years in a row without injuries. The schedule they play is brutal and I'm afraid will be too much 2 years in a row. There are 4 games that might not only be bad losses, but be beat and bruised up also.

great info supercard.
6A- Its going to be a pull for 2 teams in this class between, Trinity and St X. But i do think teams like Male, Dupont Manuel, and Meade County have slight chances in pulling an upset.
5A- Should be all highlands again, But John hardin in my opinion will have something to say about this. Bowling Green will be another team that should be able to compete. There are two teams in eastern kentucky that i cant wait to see or hear about next year and that is pulaski county and letcher county central. But looking at records from last year i actually wonder how good that anderson county team that lost 1 game last year is. if anyone knows please fill me in.
4A- There are only 2 teams that i think can and will bring come the title and that is Bell County and Lexington Catholic. These teams will more than likely meet in the 4th round of the playoffs to decide who goes to papa johns and the winner of that will more than likely be champs but will have to prove to me to beat a warren east team what fell short 3 points last year to lone oak. If lone oak has another quarterback the caliber of Corey Robinson then they may be back at papa johns.
3A- Louisville Central will be the favorite of repeating in this class. Belfry in my opinion will be back at papa johns with the coaching of phillip haywood. Belfry returns quite a bit of talent and starters from last seasons team and i look for ivan lee to fill in where dustin may left off. Breathitt County will be a good team as well but im anxious to see how the cope without quarterback colby fugate. Channing Fugate his brother will have a big year and i think will possiblly be hearing from a few colleges if he hasnt already. Russell is a team who i look to beat breathitt this year and then look to take down belfry to move onto papa johns so in my opinion its a 4 horse race with louisville central, belfry, breathitt and russell.
2A- Fort Campbell will be the favorite in this class to repeat. Newport Central Catholic will be there as well competing as well. Prestonburg is the only team in the mountains of eastern kentucky to have a great shot at getting to papa johns and expect them to turns some heads. To me in this class it could be anyones game to take home the championship.
1A- Beechwood is the favorite for this class. Lexington Christian is next in line with Hazard and Frankfort knocking on the door. I have heard many rumors due to the recruiting violation against lexington christian that they can not compete in the playoffs but if someone can fill me in that would be great. Too me Hazard even though they fell short in the playoffs last year they are going to be the team to beat with almost everyone returning on defense and loosing no one on offense they too me would seem to be the favorite team out of the east bracket while beechwood stands alone on the west side of the bracket. I am predicting a Beechwood and Hazard game in papa johns.

Super-Card,
That is a murderer's row right there! But, they played a similar schedule last season and it just made them stronger.Central has sooo many athletes that the only players that I feel they would struggle if they lost are DT Mister Cobble, LB Ridge Wilson, and LB Tim Patterson. Those 3 are irreplacable. Reports are that the new QB taking over for Leland Banks is just as versatile, throws as good of a ball, and is far more composed.
Central has became a whole new program since Scroggins took over. IMO, they were one of the Top 5 teams in the state regardless of class last year.
It appeared as if last season there were 3 teams in a different class all together in 3A, Belfry, PT, and LC. With the talent all three teams return it will be hard for the other teams to make up alot of that gap this season.

For 5A, I'd have to say that the two best teams right now are Highlands and CovCath. CovCath will be much better than they were last year, returning a lot of talent and a huge, athletic offensive line. I know that Bowling Green has been great the past few years and John Hardin is strong, but I think that 2008 will be a two-team race (HHS and CCH) this year.

How do you get that Hazard is a private school?
