Jackson City defeats Breathitt 3-1
#1
Jackson City defeated Breathitt High by a score of 3-1. Jackson pitched 8th grader Boggs and Breathitt pitched their ace pitcher Ritchie. It was a terrific win for Jackson especially since they had lost earlier in the season to Breathitt twice (8-0 and 9-4). Boggs was absolutely on fire with a total of 8 strike outs to finish the game. Congrats Jackson and good luck in the Regional Tournament.

the tigers finally played like they can, they have been plagued by errors all season, but they stepped up huge in this game, Davidson made possibly the best catch ive ever seen in a high school game diving into foul territory, and Hayes had at least 5 or 6 putouts from shortstop. The Boggs boy played amazing, he didnt seem to be affected at all by the fact that hes 14 years old pitchin in a district championship. It will be exciting to watch him grow as a player over the next few years. And i think that if he stays at Jackson they can win district again next year, as they return all of their pitching

An 8th grader?? Wow, looks like he is pretty good to have 8 strikeouts.
