My picks are in the 1st round: Ashland by 19 over West, Raceland by 10 over Bath. Rowan by 23 over Boyd, Russell by 1 over Morgan

2nd round : Ashland over Raceland by 6, Rowan over Russell by 23.

16th region championship: Ashland over Rowan by 3 .
the Ashland Kittens advance to the state tournament.

I was @ last night's games.
I can tell you all one thing:
BATH COUNTY'S BAND ROCKS!!!
I can't and won't single out one section, but I haven't enjoyed listening to a high school band like that, in many semesters!
Their playlist was varied, well played and well appreciated!
If someone knows the name of their Band Director & address, please "pm" me... I'd like to drop them a note card of appreciation!

I didn't miss the electronic wizardy or the plunking and twanging that so many have turned our bands into here of late. Nothing beats the feeling you get from a Great high school BAND in a gym @ a big game!!!

Oh yes... and Morehead did a nice job with things @ Wetherby. I actually think I like it better down there!

Last night's games were like daylight & dark. The first game was a nailbiter... with Morgan coming out on top @ the very end & the 2nd game was not very close with Rowan County over Boyd.
Russell had a nice band & for its small size, Boyd County's band had a good sound. Rowan County had a very good band!
