how is sally and what happened to her?

Everyone, please be praying for Sally. She goes to the doctor today to get the results of her MRI.
She was injured at a game at Phelps on Monday night. She played about 4 minutes of the game. I don't know the specifics, but she was under the goal and passed the ball back to Laura Perkins. She came down "funny" with all weight on her right leg. Her knee popped out of place. She was carried off the court in excruiating pain.
Last night, at the Sheldon Clark game, Sally was on crutches. She was surprised with the announcement that she had joined the 1000 point club during the Candy Cane Classic tournament at South Laurel. Sally had no idea. It was very emotional...Coach Napier returned to present the award along with Coach Rowe and Coach Alvin.
Ironically, www.allaclassic.org has Sally listed as the 15th Region's top player.
Please, please PRAY for #11.

The Cyrus family is praying for you Sally!
Prayer helps!!! Our Lord is caring and and forgiving. Even if you can't see it, he is always working for us and has a plan for us. It might not be the plan we expect or even want, but it might just be the plan he needs for us to carry out. Trust in him.

OK....so whats the IRONY???

Maybe "ironically" was not the best word. I thought it was sad, heartbreaking, a bummer, etc. that she was named the #1 player in the all a classic (15th region) and won't be able to play.
One definition of irony is an event or result that is the opposite of what is expected. While it was not UNexpected for Roberts to be named #1, it would be unexpected that the number one player would not be able to play. Ah, never mind. You win.
I can't argue my way out of that one.

I agree with this whole-heartedly. And, I've heard people say that Sally is doing very well and has a good attitude about the whole thing.

Personally, I am impressed! You have correctly defined irony, and you have supported it with an excellent example!
