Unfortunately the numbers are down. They were actually looking to be better this year but then the transfer portal opened up and Boyd benefited from it. I’ve heard from 22 all the way down to 9

It's pretty bad from what I hear. They cannot keep any athletes there for any sport.
How long have they been building that big baseball field? Will it ever be done? The gym looks like it came from a time warp from 1955. The football field is like playing in a landmine, holes all over the place! That administration has never cared about sports. If these schools realized that competitive sports programs = new admissions/$$, they would be in a lot better place.
Absolutely no reason to go there if you are a good athlete and care about sports. Cannot blame any of those kids for leaving.

Manning departed for Boyd Co. Heard Everettes transferred to Greenup Co. last I heard Tevin (his last name escapes me) has been taking QB1 reps with Kaylor (I believe a Frosh) currently at the back up spot. As little as 9 and as many as 22 have been at practice is what I have been told. Also heard they got a few kids that had transferred in from Huntington. Not talking smack or trying to stir anything up. It’s just what I had heard. I was also told that the players that had transferred in did things the right way and were not blown up to be saviors of the season/program. But were supposed to be solid players and right now Fairview needs all the numbers they can get. As much hell as I have given Fairview folks in the past and as much as I still despise the football program. I’d rather there continue to be a program for me to despise lol. I don’t want any kids to go without the opportunity to play this game!
Also heard they had went to the Bone or Wing offense with the loss of Manning.

I agree there RAD. It’s been done in the past and has been a good way to build a program or build it back up. One thing I am noticing with Fairview, is the fanbase seems to live and die on the success of the team. Raceland could go 0-10 for 3 consecutive years and we would still be thumping our chest and putting out lawn chairs on Wed and Thursday nights at Ram Stadium. IMO, that’s a reflection on the staff. Fairview needs to recruit their community to get behind the program. I saw where Roy had put together a camp with Jennings and another former NFL player. Those are the things he needs to do. It’s more than getting players out.

Coach Roy is not the problem more like the school and teachers and admin. not gonna get into whos qualified and student test scores, but Alex is doing a fine job

Been an issue for years Scrappy. Honestly it’s why the McPeaks were able to do what they did. Adkins don’t seem to care. Good or bad. Seems like everyone is just drawing a paycheck.

new rosters have hit the screen for 2025. fairview lists 21 players and only 3 being seniors.
Any scrimmage info for the eagles?
also no luck on finding everetts on any roster currently, formerly of fairview?

I was told Everetts was at GC. But he’s not on their roster.

I think a lot of those rosters are still being finalized. I just pulled up Fairview and it lists 28 kids

The latest roster now has 30

Word on the street is Fairview looks improved upfront and at RB this year. It’s still going to be a process in building the program back up, but I’m glad to hear some positives coming out of the Westwood faithful.
