That was a whirlwind recruitment.
I'd made a post about Florida getting Xaivian Lee, who I think will be great. Some early scuttlebutt is that Aberdeen might have been told to "test the market" by Florida, with the thought being that other teams wouldn't be able to match what they were offering. Don't know how true that is, and could see his departure being attributed to both Lee coming on-board and being told to test the market.
Either way, I'm a bit surprised that this is how Kentucky reached 13, especially with how quickly everything came. Aberdeen is from Orlando and was thought to have a starting role alongside Lee on next season's Gators squad. Very intriguing that we take away what was going to be a pretty substantial piece for Florida.
Some other notes: Aberdeen wasn't a Top 100 player coming out of high school and was the sole Mike White commit remaining in Gainesville.
