BYU was 11 for 32 from three while Iowa State was 8 for 28. You'd think that'd be the story of this game, but it was actually the Cougars outrebounding the Cyclones 52 to 24. Their 32 defensive rebounds came at a 3:2 pace to BYU's total rebounds. Iowa State was able to force 29 turnovers.
Only caught the end of this one, but Iowa State is not trending in the right direction. They've had a lot of injuries this season, so they aren't as bad as some of their results indicate. One of their biggest issues has been turnovers, but they only had 11 tonight. They've also got a bit of a short rotation, so foul trouble can be an issue.
BYU is getting hot at the right time and I wouldn't call them bad, but they aren't the type of team I'm going to be picking to go very deep in my bracket either.
