Who do you see taking this one? South has been playing some of the best ball in the region the past few weeks. Corbin has added Ellis but has yet to gel as a cohesive unit. South won the last meeting at home by a 56-35 score. Corbin is the deeper , and some might say, more talented team. But South has Mr Everything, Jordan Mabe. Dude does it all on both ends of the court. Freshman, Red Ryder Akins stirs the drink for Corbin. When he's really good, the Hounds usually or are in the game til the end. I just think South is the better basketball team right now. Corbin's day will come but it won't be Friday night. I say the Cards win by, let's say by 8 or 9 points. I hope I am wrong.

I agree that corbin may have better talent but South has played so well lately. If the young Red Ryder can play close to how he played when corbin beat south then they have a chance. He had 23 pts, 7 assists and the game was never in doubt. Corbin took the ball to the basket aggressively. Sometimes mabe is relied on too much. We have said that all year and they just keep winning. Mabe is more valuable to his team than any team ive seen this year. If the supporting cast comes up empty then the redhounds could win. I know it sounds simple but corbin has to make open shots. If south is able to sit back and watch corbin clank open shots then they win by double digits. I agree OSH that Corbins a coming, just not this year. South by 7.

well, I left the game early. This one’s over. The Corbin sharpshooters are gutting the no offense Cards.
At least the girls have a bright future. The boys program, not so much.

South pulled this one out but I’m so impressed with Corbin in this game. Ryder Akins is legit one of the best freshman in the state. Kid has so much going for him. He made some huge plays throughout the game. In that environment as a freshman playing like he did is crazy. Can’t wait to watch him the next few years. Region tournament is going to be one of the best ever. I’d hate to have to play that Corbin team first round!

In such a short span we will have had Reed, Trent, Maddox, Mabe, Akins. We need to realize how special this moment is for this region as in a heart beat we can be looking like the 14th/15th talent wise.

I think your forgetting about Davidson as well 52 points on 21-26 shooting to start the post season, I think he would be considered one of the top in the region as well
