Interesting matchup in Pineville tonight with the Redhounds and Mountain Lions. Corbin should not overlook this team. Pineville has some nice guards with thompson and beck. Throw in moser and puckett and you have a tough matchup on your hands. Will pineville be able to match the physicality of corbin? Pineville’s 4 best players are Seniors. Corbin has a mix of veterans and youngsters. It will be a tough road matchup for corbin. Wouldn’t be surprised if pineville pulled the upset.

If corbin can beat North twice, once without their best player, Pineville should be a walk. Pineville is the team of squeak byes.. they squeak by Harlan Ind, OBI, Williamsburg, Bville, Model. When looking at the tiers of this region there is
A+ Bell and HC
A South
B Corbin North Clay Knox
C Pineville
D and F everyone else
Pineville has firmly established themselves as a bunch who beats the bad teams, but every team with a pulse runs them out the gym. If pineville keeps it close, then it is a good indicator for Corbin fans to not buy the all sessions ticket for the region tournament cause they won’t need it.

Nothing to add. I agree with everything you said.

SHOULD BE...exactly right. If Corbin shows up and is interested in playing basketball, they win easily. If it's the Corbin team that sometimes doesn't give a rat's ass, then it could be close.

If you can't stick it to Pineville, you ain't beating Bell or HC. This is just not an engaged and hungry Corbin team. Can't help but think something's goin' on.

Corbin was not good enough to put it away, Pineville was not good enough to pull it off. An awful display of basketball top to bottom. Well over double digit missed free throws. Corbin missed 6 I KNOW OF in the 4th quarter!! Both teams were in the bonus every quarter. Corbin’s entire offense was to attack Moser, and he’s probably sore from getting beat up down low. There was just no stopping the bigs from corbin inside. Thompson was a beast, but two UGLY SHOTS late. The two threes late were “i’m trying to get fouled” shots that were just not needed.
Quite the representation from the home fan base, have seen a lot less result in ejections. I was watching the live stream after I left at half time and was still shocked by what was coming over the air.
Ellis has to start creating his own stuff if Corbin wants to be something. I know it’s crazy to say, but most lineups he is on the floor he is the last person to create. Catch and shoot… he’s top 5 in the region, Defense and creating off the bounce… not so much.
Pineville is the worst defensive team I have ever seen in person that people even discuss as a contender. Not joking when I say I have seen homeschools with better defense. I heard the announcer say that Pineville and Corbin were most likely the representative winners for their district, that guy was on some of the good bluegrass you find on the creek bank!!
I cannot be sure that either team makes it into the arena, and I’m being serious. Bville and Whitley are not going to just lay down, and can anyone look at either one of these teams tonight and say that they are 100% winning the first round game??

You're right... EMBARRASSING! Tony's got himself a mess. Stick a fork in the Hounds. They suck.
It will be Bell, HC, or South advancing to Rupp. Anyone else has about as much chance as I have of being raptured into heaven.

That was a good atmosphere. Corbin missed 10-12 FT’s. Should’ve won by double digits. That being said corbin still didn’t guard the three. They have a lot of things to clean up before district. Whitley wont lay down but i predict the redhounds will give them the business. Although not in the upper tier of teams, Pineville has some nice players. Thompson is solid. Beck and moser are good 13th region players. They are missing a rough and tumble guy in the middle. I agree that their defense isn’t great. Bville could beat them but pineville is also capable of winning that district. At this point Corbin doesn’t appear that they can beat south again. But don’t be shocked if they do. This region is all over the place with wins and losses. Corbin is underachieving but they a still very capable making a deep run.
