Let's get discussion started on this one early.
This is always a big one for both schools. Historically, these are the two most successful schools in the 13th , in terms of regional titles. Tony has always had a healthy respect for Clay but he LOVES to beat them.
Corbin comes into this one at 16-9 , with the debacle on Log Mountain bookended by a couple good wins against North Laurel. Clay currently stands at 18-6 , pending today's game against Hazard. The Tigers have a really nice home win against South Laurel but, more recently, lost at home to Knox Central and had a Close Encounter of the Awful Kind at Barbourville.
Who wins this titanic struggle in Corbin on Monday evening? What does each team need to do to pull out a win in this one?

The Clay/Hazard game was cancelled. This could be a good game. Clay is definitely the more experienced team but I was impressed with Corbin’s young talent Friday night. Those young fellas for Corbin combined with Grubb from Clay are some of the future stars of the region IMO.

I always look forward to Corbin-Clay. So much history for each of theses schools, going way, WAY back.

This will be a good one. Corbin will need to keep wagers and grub off the glass. Grub is a great athlete who is very bouncy. It will be fun to watch Pietrowski bang with those clay co boys down low. Farmer and Ellis will need to collapse down and get rebounds when Eli clears everybody out. Sometimes Eli blocks out but know one runs to the ball. This will be a fun one to watch. Always is!

If Corbin can keep the glass clean. They will have a good night. Always a big matchup Coach Jones has done a great job again this season. They are ready at the right time.

Hoping the weather will allow this one to be played. The game was supposed to have been played earlier in the season but the snow said no. Schools have already been cancelled for tomorrow , I think.

Clay is an awful FT shooting team. But I dont think it will be an issue in this game because they are not going to get to shoot many anyway playing at Corbin. Just remember the mighty Tigers will be down 10-0 when they step off the bus. Taking the tigers in a close one 68-65

Nonsense. You are confusing Corbin with how it was at Clay County for three decades. You don't win 127 in a row at home without a little help from your friends in black and white.

I would be very curious as to what individuals are calling the game tonight. I will go with Wilson and a supporting cast of Stewart and Mills.
