Pike Central comes from down 9 in the 2nd half and escapes with a 1 point win. Belfry had several chances to win this or expand the lead and just couldn't convert. Turnovers and rebounding continue to plague this team. Belfry really had a chance tonight to get their first signature win of the season and couldn't finish. They do play hard but mental mistakes at crucial times hurt them. I think a win tonight would have put Belfry as the current 1 seed in the district tournament which would have guaranteed them a spot in the region tourney.

If I’m correct a Belfry win last night would’ve made it a 3 way tie after each team playing each other once. PC beat Phelps, Phelps beat Belfry and would’ve been Belfry over PC. PC is 2-0, Phelps 1-1, and Belfry 0-2.

Belfry had plenty of chances that it shouldn't have come down to the end but Belfry forced a turnover and had 14 open for a layup and turned the ball over with around 15 seconds left. These two teams played last season and Pike Central won by 68 points. Perry is doing a good job he just needs a couple more pieces and some depth.
