Russell 62 Lewis County 37
#1
BIG district win for Russell at home. Russell's defense played very well, holding Lewis to just 16 points in the first half.

This one is shocking after the Elliott game and AIT. Did Lewis leave kids in Vanceburg?

Didn't notice anyone not playing that normally would. Russell is improving and looks like Lewis is struggling to find scorers.

I agree this score surprises me. But this is the way I thought Russell would be playing all year. Hopefully Russell is figuring things out and getting some structure to their offense.

Rimmer has a TON of potential. He has a chance to be special. But he needs to be in a situation where he is challenged physically & mentally on a daily basis. We will leave that topic rest til after the season.

As far as this game I did not see the game so I can’t comment on Lewis Co.’s performance but it looks like their trip down South might have taken something out of them both physically and emotionally.

A rematch is scheduled for Jan. 24th so that will be interested.

The score pretty much told the story. They struggled to score, and Russell wanted to prove a point. I agree on Rimmer, he's turning into a real all around player, and seems to have grown up some maturity-wise.
