Incredible way to end this tournament.
This is really the first time Hazard has had to win one down the stretch.

This Hazard team is the real deal and tonight they did it without Higgins on the floor. He may not score but they missed his inside presence and physicality. I do feel Johnson stepped up and played good in his absence. Got some big buckets and rebounds. Maybe I missed it but didn't seem that Beverly played as much tonight. Kincaid did come in and hit a shot or two. Harlan did a good job taking Comb out of the game as well which shows how deep this team is because they still found a way to win.
Eversole is as tough as there is out there. Hard to contain him and I haven't seen all the players in the mountains but there isn't many, if any, better.

Was out of town Saturday, still couldn't wait to watch it, of course I forgot about it until the end, got to watch the final 2 minutes. Eversole is a grown man out there for Hazard. Harlan will be fine, still favored to win the 13th again, Huff sure is a special talent, still have a pretty solid core around him from the State Championship team last year, always want to win but no shame in losing to the team picked to win the 14th. Congrats Hazard on winning the Mountain Classic!

100% a foul. Way to much body contact not to call it.

Seen the WYMT guy post the clip from under the basket on his twitter, not even close to being a foul. “Too much body contact not to call it” is ridiculous. Didn’t watch or even see the rest of the game, but did see where everyone had fun at applebees after the game…

^^Yea you should never speak to someone you've known for 25 years when you see them in the only restaurant in town to go to.

A few things from my perspective...
I've seen calls like that happen all the time. Personally, there's not a ton of contact and I could see an argument for letting it slide, BUT calling it ridiculous or saying it took it out of the kids' hands is a little strong in my opinion. Was it taking it out of the kids hands when a foul was called on Carter and he missed two free throws? What about when Harlan County went 1 for 2 right before the shot.
Legal guarding position is hands up and feet set. Feet are moving and there's a forearm in the back. After the initial move, Carter was pushed back and then he gets up into Eversole on the shot attempt. A lot of the contact was initiated by the offense. I think it's a 50/50 call?

As far as the situation at Applebee's everyone is in a tizzy about lmao
If any coach in the state of Kentucky saw some officials at a local establishment after a night of basketball, they're going to say hello.
If you just won the WYMT Classic by a go-ahead free throw with 1.3 seconds on the clock, you'll probably be smiling.
I hate social media.

15th region basketball assignor is a joke and should be fired this is what happens when politics and power are put ahead of doing what best for kids. Look no further than this game or the belfry vs LC game and you will see why Kevin Garris is the worst assignor in the state.

Looks like a no call to me. Was contact but offensive guy made the contact. Tuff call to make.

Call it like you see it and live with the ending. Life went on for hazard then and it was a lot more clear foul call than this one was. Harlan will be a hard bunch to handle in that 13th region. Best of luck to them the rest of the year.

no dog in the fight, don't care who wins.
Easily a foul, Carter brought his entire arm down when he was straight up and didn't get any ball. Easy call for the official to make 10 out of 10 times.
