Winner gets 1st round home playoff game and will likely face Prestonsburg in the second round. Loser travels to Martin County first round.
Rumor is Jarredd Jarrell will not be coaching in this game Friday and could miss a few games due to suspension after whatever took place after the Shelby Valley game with a referee.
If Jarrell is out, Pike Central suddenly has a good chance of winning this game. Just have to contain McCutcheon.
I’d imagine Harley Quillen or Dwight Jarrell take over the play calling and coaching duties on the sideline for the Bobcats.
Should be an interesting game.

Well IMO . Coach Quillen should be the head coach anyway . BL should win this one but I think PCC puts up a few !

I like Betsy Layne in this one no matter what. I just think they’re a better team than Pike Central.
Now if Jarrell is suspended, then it might make it a lot closer. Let’s wait and see though.

I appreciate everything Jarrell did as a player at Prestonsburg, and I personally like the guy, but his actions are inexcusable. As a coach, you have to carry yourself in a different manner. There is nothing wrong with getting emotional, or getting an unsportsmanlike penalty here and there, if you feel your kids are wronged, but anytime you physically come in contact with an official, you are 100% in the wrong. Being honest about it all, it appears his actions, have enabled his players to take on that same mentality, by arguing every penalty, cheap shot after cheap shot, and having very little respect for the officials or opposing teams. Not only is this a problem at the high school level, it has trickled down to the middle school and feeder programs. There is no accountability at all levels from the coaches, administrators, or the county athletic directors. Playing dirty is normalized, and when this happens it's part of the culture.

Not what you want you programs to be know for.
I expect BL to win by as much as they want.

I expect BL to try some of their passing game tonight to spread the field out tonight. Not sure if the Hawks can stop McCutcheon on the ground when its all said and done and feel like the BL defensive front will be hard to overcome for PC.
