Great Crossing vs Madison Central. Thoughts?

Both teams showed signs of life last week but they also both got blown out. This is a toss up but if I had to bet I’d say GC by 7

I am not real familiar with either team but they have both played Scott County and GC killed Scott county and Madison Central got beat handily by Scott county. But MC beat Johnson Central who looks like they are coming back into a power unlike last year so it makes me think that MC is better than what they showed against Scott county. These are high school kids and you don't know what they are going through all the time. I will say GC but in a close game. GC-42 MC-38.

the same reason GC beat Scott County, applied to why MC got killed by Scott County. It all boils down to turnovers. If Scott county plays a clean game against GC, they more than likely win the game. If MC plays a clean game against Scott County, they had a much better shot at winning the game.

GC game was 28-15 in the 4th quarter before they racked up points late on the JV defense, and the MC game was 35-7 until the last couple minutes where MC scored on the Jv defense of Scott County.


I think all 3 teams are pretty much equal in talent, but in both games costly and ugly turnovers made for blowouts.

MC could prove they have truly “turned the page” with a win here. I have been skeptical of them after what was done to Scenters there; the entrance and relatively short tenure of Holcomb; and the fall-out from the “teeth and tan” era. I’d kinda like to see Central win just……because!

scott county has drastically improven since week 2. They had 11 turnovers in the first 4 games and the last two games have been locked in and got the job done.

Scott county and Woodford will have a show down for district 10/18 whoever wins I see going far in the playoffs. Whoever loses good luck against Cooper in round 2.
