Congrats to dawgs on the win. Hazard definitely needs to sure up its special teams. They need to clean up then penalties too. Took Hazard a little longer to get settled in after Paris got some big plays. Thought they got a little relaxed after getting up late in the 4th. I’m glad to see Hazard kept the foot down on offense.
It was also nice to meet RAM A Devil and chat with him. Safe travels back my friend and hopefully I can make the trip to Raceland and watch that Hazard game.

A little confused with this one. Hazard did a great job on making Webb a non factor, and containing Koeder after the first quarter. Paris also contained Koeder, kid is a bell cow, can go up the middle, and they stopped using him. Paris needs to get an identity on offense, schoolyard football only takes you so far.

Was not at all impressed with Paris. Slow upfront and no real identity on offense beyond a play breaking down and slinging it downfield. This game was actually worse than it looked by the score. Paris’ first score came in a short field after a bad kick off by Hazard and with 20 yards of penalties because Hazard couldn’t watch the football. Another score came on a kickoff return and the other a busted play that included 4 missed tackles. Hazard is a late 3rd quarter running clock better than Paris. Paris QB has talent and Koeder is a good back. But Paris biggest downfall year in and year out is a lack of development in the offense. It honestly looks like they draw up a lot of it in the sand. With the talent and skill they always have, there’s no reason they shouldn’t be competitive.
Hazard has some dudes, but they gotta tackle better and work on special teams. I really didn’t understand the Shoptaw logic on their PATs either. Why not just go with Pelfry? Hazard has the ground game to keep teams honest in the playoffs though.

Koeder is a tough hard nose runner. Kid is a gamer. I’m not sure why they went away from him, but if I remember correctly he did have 2 or 3 fumbles later. I’m not sure if that’s why but it’s a possible. Frederick for Paris to be better is gonna have to run the ball some. He was a non threat on the ground last night.

Paris needs to establish some depth if possible. They were completely wore out mid 3rd quarter. I’m not sure how many Hazard rushed for, but it was quite a bit.
Hazard definitely needs to work on special teams. No excuse for that. But I think they will correct it. I also think they got a little relaxed late. But overall I think at the end of the game Hazards size wore Paris down. It’s also not had for a team starting 5 freshmen. 3 on the offense and 2 on defense.

Not wrapping up, hitting to high. Small things that eventually will get you beat. Also the same thing with pelfrey and the PATs. I’m not completely understanding it yet but thankful to be setting at 3-0. Kids staying healthy for hazard is the biggest key. If they do they can possibly make a deep run late.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see Hazard win State in 1A this year! Everyone focused on Pikeville but don’t rule out this Hazard team!

....and just like that, the Paris football season lost its steam.
