Pulaski County at Danville 8/30

Pulaski County vs Danville. Thoughts?

Pulaski 35-7
Some young Maroons get some valuable playing time before a tough stretch of games.

This is going to be bad ... the only player that stood out to me last year from Danville is now at Mercer County. I'm predicting Pulaski's JV will take the filed at the half - I'm not sure Danville will even score.
#5
Just saying Pulaski County

Pulaski might have been the best team in the Pigskin. Danville might be the worst team in the state. Need I say more?

Making a very long post about the future of Danville football and how terrible this schedule is for a very fragile program, I think its warranted. Probably in place before this last hire but there’s grace when a new coach comes in to make some changes in schedules.

Parks was a terrible hire and it shows. They messed up not bringing Clevenger back and now that loss is Somerset’s gain.

Whats worse is all the future is a couple miles down the road. Regardless of a new administration, what mistakes they’ve made will be haunt this once great program for years.

Serious question, where can they honestly turn to just to get the ship afloat? Because the anchor out front of the school is assisting in the sinking.

Danville ought to forfeit.

It's going to get ugly for Danville. It's sad to see a great program fall so far.

This is the problem facing Danville now. If Parks were to go winless again and have an 0-22 mark at the helm, can you keep him? If you terminate him then that means the Ads are looking at a third coach in five years. That just adds to the chaotic turnover through the program with players and coaches. Now that Clevenger has taken another job maybe the toxicity around what happened with his firing has gone away a bit but it's still an obstacle if a change is made. I don't even know who would be on the shortlist for the job if the Ads went looking because the Ads brand has taken a big hit.

Ads have some talent coming through the middle school level so they need to keep that from going to Boyle. There is a new super and a new high school principal so that might bode well for some changes. But the school needs to do a big evaluation of the program and where its going at the end of the season because its just not good for the community or the school to have a football program that is not in good shape. But what I find disappointing is that it seems any questions/concerns raised right now about the football program are getting turned into a "If you question things, you aren't a true Admiral supporter!" response.

It really is.  Back in the day, Corbin and Danville had some classics. I've heard a many a story from my pawpaw about how Danville fans would would ride in on trains to take on the Hounds in Corbin.  Danville was a state power for a long time. Pretty sad.
