Ashland 28 Raceland 7
#1
Final from Raceland. The Tomcats were in control of this one from the start.
#2
Could've been more. The Ashland coach started to play not to loose instead of playing to win
#3
Both teams' O-line struggled tonight. The running games just weren't there.
#4
I expected Ashland to win by a large margin but kudos to the Rams for not laying down and fighting hard even when the game was decided.

Neither team is anywhere close to what they were last year. With both teams having a tough schedule…it’s gonna look bad for them in the win lose column. Assland won with their athleticism. A great throw and catch as Raceland was a second too late for a sack late in the second quarter was basically the end of the game for the Rams. Points are gonna be hard to come by for Raceland. With zero vertical threat it’s gonna be easy to play defense against the Rams. Idk if Ison is the right choice at qb but I also don’t know if there is a better choice. There was some gains tonight. The coaches have to keep the kids minds in the right place and keep grinding. I expect us to be better at the end of the year

Ashland needs to stick with the quick pass game. Strader struggled when moved out of the pocket. Ashland defense isn’t anywhere near what they have been in the past. More experienced teams not trying to find themselves offensively will give them issues. As for Raceland, it’s still a major work in progress on the offensive side of the ball, but it’s expected. Was proud of how the young guys handled themselves in the environment tonight. Onward and upward. Congrats to the tomcats. Davis and #3 really impressed me tonight

Too much for the Rams to handle. They tried to hard to get the ball to #11. Over throwing. Tight covers and overall bad routes doomed them from the start. They scored a later TD on Tomcat back ups. Nice win coach Tackett

I’m fine. It’s you who can’t be excited about your prospects this year. We will probably be at Kroger again while you will be pulling out the basketballs again this year. Tell Davis and Jennings it’s not to late if they want to go to a title game. Or they can stay where they are at and be out in the 2nd round.

I'm not an Ashland fan  Big Grin, but just a unbiased bystander. I just wanted to check on you since you guaranteed victory. Obviously you are "fine"  Woah

I went back and watched this one. I must commend the rams defense. They did an excellent job of clogging the middle up and making it hard to run for the Tomcats. The offense just didn’t move the ball well enough. Ison is dangerous with the ball in his hands, but I believe he needs to be switched back to WR and use him as a Noah Wallace Type athlete. The Waller kid came in and made two solid plays to set up that score for Raceland. Now im not sure if he can or is the answer at quarterback, but I truly think they need to open it back up between those 2 and Cooper. But I also think the play calling didn’t give Ison a fair chance by running the ball a lot and throwing short bubble screens. You also have to commend those receivers for the blocking on those as they did an excellent job.
