This one was tied after three quarters.
Agreed that Sayre had a very good year overall-- won the 11th All "A" and bowed out to Newport by 3 in the first round of State. They beat CAL, LCA, Scott County, Frederick Douglass, and Dunbar; had two narrow losses to Henry Clay (by a total of 7 over two games) and a two point loss to Bryan Station.
They only lose two seniors, but those are two of their top three scorers and accounted for just under 50% of their overall PPG this season.

Maybe evenly matched, but it's one of the weakest 42nd district I have seen in years. Talent is why down I think. In years past if you win this district or even runner- up you have a chance to make a deep run at state, just can't see it this year.
