Gas Prices
#1
Gas prices today were $2.15 in Pikeville. That is absolutely ridiculous. What is the reason for the huge increase in price?

I know it involves about them not having enough oil converted to gas to supply the demand. And something dealing with crude oil.

Personally, I think this all goes back to Bush's economic plan.

well gas prices are really just getting out of hand!
Thursday i was in Lexington and i did happen to find a gas station with unleaded fuel at $1.96 a gallon which was the best you could find, but I am sure it has raised since then...
I predict that before this Summer is over that gas prices will be close to or over $3.00 per gallon, which sounds a crazy amount to pay for a gallon of gas, but is very capable of happening!
i hope this gets fixed quick, especially before i start driving!
#3
lol..u guys are complaining about these gas prices?? hello...there up at 5 or 6 dollars a gallon in california....these gas prices are gonna keep rising cuz america is at war with Iraq
#4
I'm complaining for everyone in America and i know about how high it is in Cali and everything and i also knew that the war with Iraq was the cause...i was just getting my point across, thats all...didnt mean for my last statement to come off the wrong way
#5
I'm going to have to get a job just to pay for my gas.
#6

#7
Gas prices will never go down to they way they were 2-3 years ago.

They're $2.09 in Prestonsburg.. in Ashland they're $2.25 for the cheapest.... I think in California it's around $3.05..
#11
yes the prices are outrageous.... i think that there is more the increase than the Iraq war. possibly dirty politicians.
#12
Bout time to get a horse.. I wonder if I would get ticket if I tied my horse up to one of the parking meters here on campus..
#13
Gas in Richmond the other day was $2.26

It's now back down to $2.06 I think at some places.
#14

I saw on the news that gas prices has went up so much in this past week all over the United States that it is not even funny. Before 9/11 gas prices were around $1.79 and now they are around $2.85 most of the time. Instead of most parents worrying about their children getting jobs to pay for insurance now, they are making their kids get jobs to pay for gas! GET OUT OF IRAQ BUSH, I WANT MY GAS FOR UNDER $2 A GALLON! lol

#21
YEP, thats the truth...Why not go back to horse and buggy lol....You think they would make us put insurance on that haha?
#22
I'll pay a few since extra for my security.

I know quite a few years ago, I belive it was Regan that froze gas prices at 2 dollars a gallon. OPEC was raising prices and raising prices. When Reagan froze them, he opened up the national oil reserves and everything.

Our gas prices now are higher than they have ever been I think. I dont like the increase, but also glad they made that KY warming, so it wont hurt so much from the gas companies.

But the facts are, we are paying less per gallon than any other country. In Canada, they pay as much for a liter than we pay for a gallon.
#24
I dont care how much gas is anywhere else. Bush better get my gas back under $2. Its ridiculous gas has never been this high and it shouldnt be this high. Thank you W. Now going to Lexington and back is an expensive vacation.
#25
Supply and demand.
#26

well they have a huge supply over there and we have huge demand.
so whats the deal pickle? nuttin more than the rich trying to get richer i think, but like i said before aint nuttin we can do.
#27
