Much better effort from the Panthers today after the semifinal game on Thursday.
Has to feel good for the players and staff after two heartbreaking losses to MC last season.
Congratulations to Coach Justice & the Panthers!
Hope to see a lot of Maroon in Corbin this week.

Great game plan by Coach Justice. MC kept pressing and extending the defense and it led to a lot of easy buckets for Fitzer. When the Panthers handled the pressure they were able to score almost every time.
Also excellent defense on McKenzie, he may have had 6 or 7 points after almost putting 30 up against BL.

Conrgatulations Panthers. They moved the ball very well today. MC didn't look engaged today. Never know what you will get from them. They have the most talent in the region, but they don't always seem like they want to be there.

Pikeville is really starting to play a lot better team ball!

If Pikeville handles the press and Fitzer stays out of foul trouble, they will beat Martin County again in the regional tournament of Martin County continues to play the same style. That’s who they are so I don’t think they’ll change. The Cardinals senior who graduated last year and the loss of their point guard were huge losses for them. Pikeville still has room to get better which should be concerning for all the other teams in that region. Pikeville’s staff had another great game plan and if they would have taken care of the ball last year against the press, they would have won those 2 games as well. Two really good teams and if they meet again, it will be another war.

Congratulations Pikeville. If I had a kid playing anywhere, I’d want them playing for someone like Coach Justice. Good luck in Corbin. The state all A looks tough this year.
