Here is my amendment.
"Upon ratification by a simple majority of voters, the 16th amendment shall be repealed and the taxation of income shall thus be illegal."
A few quotes from Thomas Jefferson to consider,
"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have..."
"i predict future happiness for the American people and country, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labor of the people, under the pretense of 'taking care of them'...."
This will be a public vote, so those voting no should explain their opposition, and those uneducated on the FairTax (which would replace it), should ask questions BEFORE voting.
Ok, so I had to edit this because I forgot to make a poll, and it seems that I can't at this point. So now, this will be as the House of Representatives refer to, a "Voice Vote". Please ask questions before you vote, and votes can be changed.
You have 48 hours to cast your vote.
