After watching this game, probably got to say Perry is lucky to be 3rd/4th at best in region. They have a long ways to go to compete with Breathitt or Hazard.

Beverly getting hurt didn’t help perry tonight, it was a good game first half, but Perry fell apart in the second. Very weak down low, no rebounding, Perry has good guard play and that will take them a long way in the 14th. Let’s not get to tore up after one road game against a very good Harlan team. Woods and slone played well for the most part I thought, we just gotta get Beverly healthy and get some production form the bigs.. #dores

Can’t judge off first game but I do agree Perry has a lot to work on but can’t write them off just yet and can’t rank hazard to high only playing Paris as their first game ??

Perry stayed right with us for most of the first half; even led at one time. Slone and Woods are a great guard combination, and can hit from the parking lot! I thought PCC had a great team. Beverly's injury really was a pivotal event. Prayers for his quick recovery.

Can’t agree with you Old Glory considering Perry never throws the ball down low. Didn’t get hardly anything from the guards. Knight scored about every time he got it. From what I saw guards play to much East and West other than Slone and he forces a lot. Woods shoots it really well when he gets good looks. Didn’t see much defense if any. Beverly struggled third quarter but he was hurt. Just my opinion. Perry is gonna be fine.

If you want the Biggies to do well, you got to feed them. Hard to do well when your starved to death. Bigs gotta eat.
I've watched Knight, Mac, and Castle their whole lives. They will score all day long with 5'9 kids guarding them on the block. Could went to them all night long.

I bleed red and black Cat Daddy, got all kinds of faith. I don’t think they need any recruits or any more 6th year guys. They have the team to win the region already. Long ways to go and time to gel.

Don't understand all the whining about PC, they have a nice team and will only get better.. Not to mention their best player got hurt and clearly couldn't play after the injury. I admire the Beverly kid a great deal, you could see how badly he wanted to get back in and compete, hats off to him. I wanted to show a little love and respect also for IMO the best 3 point shooter in the mountains (Daniel Carmical) for HC, the kid is a true pure shooter (8 threes last night, 8-13) and is a heck of a player as well. He's a very quick and tenacious defender and he will play a big role along with our other great players to make us one of the top 2 or 3 mountain teams. Congrats to our new coach as well on his first Dub! He's going to be a good one, very smart basketball mind and hard worker. Looking forward to some great basketball in the Mountains this year...

Didn't watch all of this one due to some prior engagements, but thanks to the WTUK crew for broadcasting.
I think at this point in the season, not having Beverly out there was just too tall of a task against a team like Harlan County.
Harlan County has given Perry their comeuppance to start the season two years in a row.
These two could possibly meet in the semis of the WYMT next week at Perry Central.

I guess that’s what happens when you ain’t got a team full of transfers and 6 year seniors! Gonna be a replay of the 2021 year! Shannon Hoskins just proves year in and year out he can’t win with his homegrown kids! When’s the next shipment come in?
11-30-2022, 06:33 PM
Replay will be good enough to beat Breathitt. Breathitt liable to go threw 4 or 5 coaches by then.

Always with the extremes. I saw HC beat Perry worse last year in Hazard and Perry did pretty well. I think they are still second, just like I said in June, and can make a run again. I saw Hazard give away a game against a Barbourville team ranked 6-8 in the 13th last Saturday.

Bears better worry about Sheppard and North Laurel. Don’t worry about Perry. I’d say them kids were all sea sick from the ride over there any way. Enjoy your win.

HC and Harlan make that trip a dozen times a year it seems - not a big deal. Sounds like the people from other side of the 13th who make it sound like the trip to Harlan is three times as long coming here as it is for us going there.
Not sure a win or loss in November is a big thing to worry about or enjoy very long. I thought I was just saying Perry will be fine. Some people get sensitive about basketball, I guess.
