I bet you 100 bucks the kid wasn’t recruited. It’s common sense to want to go play on a better team and a better program. I’m sure the whole family had to move. Put a stop to a kid improving his quality of life? You only go through the mill once, why not win at something? Do we remember all the losers the most or the winners? NL wins a state title, Chadwell will be remembered forever by some.

It used to be common sense to want YOUR SCHOOL to win, not help someone else's, or bail on your friends/teammates if things got a little rough.

There never really ever had been any loyalty HCS. Just think if Noah would stayed at North now. Would been loaded for bear. Kids can make new friends wherever they go.

That kind of logic would take all the fun/mystery out of the games. Just send the top five players in the region to one team every year. It's not what it's about.

They do this sort of thing all over Ky. Have for several decades. Just not in East Ky.

I’m shocked his parents could sell their house and buy one so fast.
With that kind of money they should have just moved on to Lexington

This kind of stuff just shows hard work don’t matter, because HS has become like college when you recruit over your own kids.
My advice in that type of situation for the home grown kid would be to look at finding himself a new home as well. Loyalty is a two way street. If a player feels that the program is not investing in him then he needs not to feel that he must continue to invest in the program. Transfers happen and I’ve always understood kids in that type of situation looking for a better fit.

I’ve never agreed with kids transferring Just because you wanna be on a better team. Now if a program is not investing in a player then by all means. Go find one that will.
