They have always had talent, even when I played 2 years ago for em. We just didnt have a coach that knew basketball, and thats why we lost. But this year they have good coaches. And im also happy for there c-team cuz they have a great coach in benny michael lafferty and his son nathan lafferty. Last year the c-team didnt win a game all season and they had a different coach, and at this moment there 3-2 (the same kids that played last year are playing this year, so the wins arent because of new players, its because the coaches). So best of luck to all teams in floyd county. This will be a great year for bball in floyd county!!I'm just curious: Does Benny have any nephews, cousins or any relatives on the team???? He's always been into coaching basketball with Nathan and James Micheal, when they were in the Training League forever ago at Betsy Layne. Its good to hear he is back coaching.

Im not sure if he's releated to any1 on the team or not. But he has done an excellent job with those boys. He's really turned them around.

Yeah, he's had plenty of experience over the years and knows the game very well.

Most of that is correct. His name is Mike Howard, and he is a preacher at a Baptist Church. But, he is from Floyd Co., he went to School at Betsy Layne H.S. Where he played Basketball. His Church is located at Dana, it is Sammy Clark Branch Freewill Baptist Church.
