15th Region Preseason Rankings
#1
Whats everyones preseason rankings for the 15th region?

Here's mine.

1) Shelby Valley Wildcats
2) Paintsville Tigers
3) Pikeville Panthers
4) Belfry Pirates
5) Betsy Layne Bobcats
6) Johnson Central Golden Eagles
7) Allen Central Rebels
8) Lawrence County Bulldogs
9) Prestonsburg Blackcats
10) Phelps Hornets
11) Magoffin County Hornets
12) Pike County Central Hawks
13) East Ridge Warriors
14) Sheldon Clark Cardinals
15) South Floyd Raiders
16) Piarist Knights

Teams 4-13 are very equal teams and they'll mix up the rankings all season.

Good Luck to all schools on the upcoming season!

From what I was told they pulled back out of the KHSAA. They'll probley still have a team but they will just scrimmage JV's, like they used to do before they joined KHSAA.

So I would assume that the top seed in the 59th would just get a bye into the district championship, and thus an automatic berth into regionals? Hopefully they wouldn't go back to that idiotic 3-team draw they had to do a few years ago.

I would've had the Blackcats higher but with Bobby Hughes tearing his ACL and being out for the season takes alot away from the Blackcats.

pikeville will be #2 not the tigers maybe even #1

if anything pikeville would be lower. but thats just me....why u say pikeville should be number 2:confused:

No way Pikeville could even be considered #1 or 2 without Harmon, they lose a lot of athleticism there, even harder for them to keep up with Valley or Painstville now.

Would be pretty hard to put anybody else but Shelby Valley at number 1, considering they return all five starters from last year's team that went undefeated in the region.

why is no one giving magoffin any credit. the defending 57th district champs. neil west has a very young but talented ball club with senior guards Tyler Hunley and Philip Francis and jr. Stephen Lemaster.
