Great game by both teams. Ratliff with two HR’s for Paintsville, one a grand slam. That kid is a stud! Lawrence battled back twice and made things very interesting with runners on the corners with 2 outs and Bryce Blevins at the plate.

Lawrence- Patton, Fletcher, Derifield and B. Fletcher

Paintsville- Z. Taylor, Miller I believe ( started in RF), and G. Collins

Actually he didn’t. He walked a few and had some wild pitches. It was the grand slam that was the big difference and that was against a freshman pitcher.

Lawrence County had 10 hits and Paintsville had 6. 3 of Paintsvilles hits just left the yard. Makes a difference. Patton only allowed 2 hits but walks hurt him this game. Freshman E Fletcher came in, in a tough spot and gave you a grand slam to Ratliff which was the difference. Game got sloppy at times. I think both teams had 2 errors. But for the 4th game of the season both teams looked ok.

I would assume it would go about like last years regional semi-finals game with Blevins on the mound. 7-0 Lawrence County. Painstville had 1 hit in that game. Blevins is tough and always throws it well against Painstville. Painstville won’t fold by any means but Blevins is a tough out for anyone.

Blevins is a tough draw for anyone but I have learned over the years that you shouldn’t use words like “no way” or “you are dreaming” when talking about the 15th region. See last year’s tournament as one small example in an ocean of other examples.

I agreed I should not used no way or you are dreaming but Blevins best pitcher in 15th region. Neither Paintsville or Lawrence could come out if 15th because never know how draw will go. I just think if Blevins face Paintsville that he would win the game. I’m from the 14th region. Not someone from Lawrence county.
