The Lady Owls won their first round All A Classic state tournament game 58-54 in Booneville over 15th region winner Shelby Valley. It was a back and forth type of game with both teams leading by as much as 10 points at times.
Eighth grader Addison Terry came up really big with 16 points for Owsley and freshman Carly Smith had 18. Lexy Lynch scored 11.
Owsley will now advance to the second round to play the winner of the Pineville-Berea game.

Rowe is an extremely good player that demands constant attention from everyone on the floor but the the lady owls held Rowe and Elswick to a combined 12 points for the game. Attribute it more to the lady owls game plan and defensive skemes that helped keep those 2 contained. That was the recipe for the win IMO.
