this is very true, but the backs jus catch the crowds eye and unless the front get a pancake or the D-line get a sack or TFL then ppl jus odnt pay attention to us

True statement sometimes..... but last Saturday night Daniel Harmon did most of the work on his own! Man he made some good moves!!

You have to still give credit to the line. If the line completely collapsed there would be 5-7 after him and I have yet to see someone good enough to elude 5-7 defenders all alone. Someone had to make a couple of blocks somewhere.

It all starts with the line.A great line makes an average back look good.Too much praise to the back and not enough for the line unless your a parent of a back.

Harmon did very well, but nearly all of the D-line and LBs were taken care of for him on his bigger runs.
Lets put it this way, without a good line it would have been a lot more of the 415 lb nosegaurd trying to eat Harmon - which only happened once.

I agree. The line dosn't get much credit at all, but there the ones that control the game.

Games are won upfront, plain and simple, anybody that knows football can tell you that.

And they don't get the notariety they deserve, but thats just the way it is.

They did ok blocking, but that noseguard was to slow to eat anybody unless it was delivered to him. He came through almost everytime but the play had done happened, guys that big and unathletic aren't that bad to block. Id rather to that than somebody who is strong built and quick.
As far as linemen go anybody who knows football knows it's were it all starts. That is like every game Belfry plays Haywood says we must control the line of scrimage and they are a reason for that because every game does ride on that.

why is this even a discussion? it takes the whole team!

No it really doesn t. But sometimes the entire team can stink it up.

The big guys up front control the tempo of the game these are the most important players on a football team and it dose take a whole team 2 win but these are the most important players.............and btw guy u no wat the mpst paid position is n the NFL thats right baby the tackles if he QB is right handed it would b the left tackle and visversa

Asl DH if he did it all on his own. he will tell you that the holes were there because his lineman and blocking backs opened them up for him. He did make some things happen on his own but a lot of credit is due to the linman even though they didn't do spectacularly well. They will get this stuff cleaned up though.
