Nov. 15 Oregon (L)
Dec. 1 at Arizona State (L)

Projected Record: 5-7 overall (3-6 Pac 10)
7 “swing” games
Notes: The Wildcats must have a healthy Willie Tuitama to compete for a bowl game this season. They probably would have finished with seven or eight wins if he had been 100 percent at the end of last season… Stoops stepped into a bad situation, and it has taken a while to get things turned around. He will continue to improve the program slowly…. It’s tough to put them so low, but the Pac 10 is as deep as it has ever been and it’ll be tough to get back to bowl eligibility.

Washington State
Last Season: 6-6 (no bowl)
Head Coach: Bill Doba (5th season)

Returning Leaders:
Passing: Alex Brink (241-396, 2899 yards, 19 TD, 10 INT)

Sacks: Lance Broadus (7.5)
Interceptions: Husain Abdullah (3)

Schedule/Projected Results
Sept. 1 at Wisconsin (L)
Sept. 8 San Diego State (W)
Sept. 15 Idaho (W)
Sept. 22 at USC (L)
Sept. 29 at Arizona (L)
Oct. 6 Arizona State (L)
Oct. 13 at Oregon (L)
Oct. 27 UCLA (W)
Nov. 3 at Cal (L)
Nov. 10 Stanford (W)
Nov. 17 Oregon State (W)
Nov. 24 at Washington (L)

Projected Record: 5-7 overall (3-6 Pac 10)
6 “swing” games
Notes: Mike Price did a tremendous job with this program, going to a couple rose bowls and developing some quality QB’s… The Cougars stood at 6-3 with three games left last season but lost their last three (two to non-bowl teams) that cost them a bowl bid. They should be better offensively with a senior quarterback, but the defense loses six of their top eight tacklers and will have a hard time getting two a bowl.

Stanford
Last Season: 1-11 (no bowl)
Head Coach: Jim Harbaugh (1st season)

Returning Leaders:
Passing: TC Osterander (72-158, 918 yards, 3 TD, 5 INT)
Rushing: Anthony Kimble (114 att, 501 yards, 2 TD)
Receiving: Richard Sherman (34 rec, 581 yards, 3 TD)
Tackles: Clinton Snyder (83)
Sacks: Clinton Snyder (2)
Interceptions: Bo McNally (2)

Schedule/Projected Results
Sept. 1 UCLA (L)
Sept.15 San Jose State (W)
Sept. 22 Oregon (L)
Sept. 29 Arizona State (L)
Oct. 6 at USC (L)
Oct. 13 TCU (L)
Oct. 20 at Arizona (L)
Oct. 27 at Oregon State (L)
Nov. 3 Washington (L)
Nov. 10 at Washington State (L)
Nov. 24 Notre Dame (L)
Dec. 1 Cal (L)

Projected Record: 1-11 overall (0-9 Pac 10)
2 “swing” games
Notes: The Cardinal have actually had some quality talent recently, but haven’t been to a bowl since 2001. The roster does have highly sought after players on offense and defense, but they haven’t jelled due to injuries and other problems… The offense only scored 10.6 points per game last season (awful O-Line) and can only improve… Harbaugh did a good job at San Diego, but a tough schedule and adjustment period will make year one a headache.
