Paintsville PG Shines at Blue Chip Camp
#1
Blake Bundy, Paintsville's starting PG for the last 4 years will be a Senior this coming season. He was the only Paintsville player to attend the Rick Bolus Blue Chip Camp this past week. Bundy started every game on his team and also made the Camp All-Star team, in which he started PG. I think it's good to have one from this area go to a top notch camp like this and really make a name for himself. Congrats Blake and good luck this up coming season.

Big Congrats as this is a prestigious camp year in-year out! Now go out and have a great season and the reward will payoff!
#3
It is good to see East KY kids go down and show the talent that we have here. Congrats...
#4
Blake Bundy is a heck of a player and an excellant point guard! Him playing well at camp doesn't surprise me.
#5
congrates but hard to believe he started every game since they do it in # order, first game 1-5 start second game 2-6 start and so on. They make this camp so every kid gets the same amount of playing time. But congrats Blake on making the all-star team and have a great senior year.

Maybe he was talking about in the All-Star part of the camp. I know he was chosen in the first set. I am glad for Blake. I know this was a good thing for him. Congrats RBB!!!
#7
congrats did anyone else from the moutains attend this camp
#8
Congrats Blake. I talked to Blakes sister, she said that Blake was getting more playing time due to the fact that another guard on the team went out with a badly spranged ankle. She said the allstar game was last night but he had some games this morning, She thinks the camp tourney was today.

Congrats Blake.

I was told earlier that he will be playing the camp tourney "CHAMPIONSHIP" game today at 3 pm. Good luck to Blake.
#11
Sweet!! Congrats and good luck to Blake.
#12
Good job Bundy! Keep it up!

He's also playing football, right?
#13
He's Tough, Probabily the only PG in the region I'd put ahead of him would be Justice at SV although Hammonds from AC would be a close 3rd.
#14
Bundys team won the championship game yesterday at Blue Chip Camp!! Congrats Blake. Great Job.

Congrats to Blake he is a tremendous player and athlete who I thought for the longest time watching him since 6th grade he would be one of the best players in the state b4 all is said & done. He has potential to go somewhere if he could just keep his head about him a little better and (hate to use these words) not hot dog as much, as I think that turns a lot of coaches heads away. Great potential!!! Hope he reaches it

I reckon he put on a show down there and everyone loved it.

I heard his evaluation charts were outta this world!

The books had him for only 4 turnovers, total for the camp. Averaged well into double figures and his ballhandling was awesome. He has extended his range and has gained tremendous confidence in his shot.

JMO, but I have seen a lot of Bundy games, Some say he hotdogs, some say he plays out of control. people...he is a baller.
I remember a few years back, Todd Tacket would sometimes do the stupidest stuff, but in the end, his good always overshadowed his bad. But he was allowed to play the game his way. I feel Blake, if given the same commitment from the powers at large, could be the same type impact player just from a different position. It just seems that if he does make a bonehead move, he is yanked instead of being allowed to play through it. We all know he knows the game and it ain't exactly like it is all his fault that his team hasn't made it out of the region. Let him ball, let him lead, and good luck to him and his team!
Great job Blake.

Now if he can just overcome his biggest weakness which is making good decisions in "real" games and being a good teammate to his "Tiger" teammates. Anyone can go away and have a great camp in these all-star camps because chemestry and teamwork are non-factors. Everyone knows he has the kind of talent people are raving about in this thread, but can he overcome his real problems when he puts the blue and white back on!!

I see where you're comin from with his decision makin, but I don't know where you're comin from with the "bein a good teammate". He is the only one on that team that plays any kinda team ball. Blake could play in "real" games like he does at camps if he was allowed to play his game.

LOL...you haven't been watching Tiger basketball very closely. He can be a one-man wrecking crew with his decision making and mouth!!

I agreed with you about his decision makin, disagreed about him not bein a team player. And what does his mouth have to do with anything, all of em got bad tempers except for maybe JD.

I'm almost sure that evryone of the starting 5 received a "T" last year. Maybe more than one. lol

You're right Hook, ALL of em did get one and I'm almost positive all of em got more than one.

Unbelievable ! This may be some kind of state record if it is true that each of the startrers had more than 1 technical each. I would have assumed BMR was more of a disciplinarian than this!

Believe me, they payed for it in practice. Not to mention he jerked em outta the game when after it happened. What the boys fail to realize, it's always the second guy that gets caught, and 9 times outta 10 the technical fouls came from retaliation.

Paintsville lacks discipline and it's easy to see...BMR needs to step up this season.

Could be BMR last year. Good luck!!

They do lack discipline, AND self control. I have never seen a bunch get so frustrated and aggrivated as easy as some of em. Coach Runyon can't hardly say anything to most of em without em gettin tore all to hell.

BACK ON TOPIC... Congrats Blake on a great camp, good luck in football.
