Talked to three girls today and they all said they would transfer if Macalarnis got the job. Two said they would go to hazard. This doesnât include the girl from RW Combs that started for perry last year. She would leave too

I think itâs kind of sad when people get on a message board and try to impact a position by spreading rumors. Which is all youâre doing. If the girls want to leave then let them leave but donât try to push for someone that has as much given more time to Perry basketball than almost anyone to not get a chance just cause you donât want them. Who are the other people interested in the job and what their qualifications? Please donât say Jon Walker or Harold Beashers.

Not rumors. I talked to these people personally. And i have no idea who wants the job but i do know i would hire someone who would keep players rather than run them off. Seems like the principle or the superintendent would make Thebes decision for the school and the players and not alienate half of the county

I think that the school board should vote on it myself

Rarely do board members know who the best coaching options are. I think they should probably focus on academics more. Lol

Five people voting is better than one making a decision

The school board should vote on a lot of stuff, like getting a new principal and a new superintendent, then they can work on getting a good coach! All starts at the top and the leader they have now is a joke. 😂😂😂

Mcalarnis is one of the best up and coming coaches around here. She loves kids and she loves coaching and she loves winning. She has drive to get the most out of her kids and she donât play favorites like the rest do, if you are an 8th grader and better than a senior then she will play the 8th grader. She just wants the best players on the floor and think she will do a great job as the lady commodores next coach.

I seen and was told that when she was jv coach at perry that she played favorites to east perry and the kids at this end of the county. Thatâs why a lot of those players from rw combs and that end of the county went to hazard. Perry will lose at least 4 players if they hire her.

I know that I would definitely not want my board members making a coaching decision. You understand that in most places half off the board are parents (who often care about sports) or random grandparents who have some money and hold a place in the town. Point being that most boards know nothing a out sports, could be easily manipulated and wouldn't make the right decision. You don't want people that don't know the game trying to find the right person for the job.... It's much better for one person who knows what they are doing to do it. They'll get a hiring committee together that they trust, a small tightknit group... It would probably consist of a group of friends who are already coaches with the program in other sports maybe or former alumnists who were star players to make the decision. Anyone but the board... lol.

I talked to a friend of mine this morning and he said Larry Caudill was the front runner for the job. Im sure all the girls at HHS can legally transfer back to Perry. Perry will have all it takes to win the region except for a center. Maybe 5 guards is enough. Larry will do a great job.

How would they be legally allowed to transfer back? His daughter could come and thatâs it.
06-03-2019, 02:31 AM
This whole situation is super complicated. Borderline annoying lol. But I don't feel sorry for pcc and I'm not rooting for them to succeed. I'll never feel sorry for them. Just to make that clear btw lol.

How is Hazard girls coming back to Perry to play not going to cause issues with players already at Perry. Lol Iâm sure all the players that you âknowâ is leaving if they hire the wrong person are going to be all for a Coach bringing players with him. That makes a ton sense. Lol
06-03-2019, 02:45 PM
With the coaching change and proximity of the schools, the current Hazard players would be eligible at Perry I would think.
06-03-2019, 02:59 PM
You cannot follow a coach to another school. Hayley Caudill would be eligible, the rest would not. KHSAA passed this rule after Justin Johnson and Kevin Spurlock came to Perry Central from a Sheldon Clark.
06-03-2019, 03:44 PM
You just never know with the KHSAA Historian. Im sure the Hazard kids would want to follow Coach Caudill and surely could get a legal address change. All it would take.
06-03-2019, 03:59 PM
There is definitely not much, if any, consistency to what the KHSAA does.
06-03-2019, 04:04 PM
Caudill being an option would not surprise many people. He coached RW for years and wanted his daughter to go to Perry early in her career. If he gets an opportunity to coach there, he would and the girls live in Perry anyways. The question is if Hazard big wigs will let that happen without any interference and not argue with KHSAA on it.

Heard Misty accpected the job. Letâs see if these rumors were true about transferring.
06-04-2019, 03:29 AM
PCC made a great hire if politics dont cut macalarnis she will do great things
06-04-2019, 03:31 AM
If they want to leave let them leave no one can be bigger than the program
