Panthers move to 22-8 & will face Paintsville in the Region Semis.

PHS has now won 7 consecutive Region Tournament games which is closing in on a best in school history. Halfway to the 14 straight wins from 1949-54. They have never won back-to-back-back 15th Region titles.

Freshman Rylee Sammons blistered the nets, going 8-10 from 3 and finishing with 28 points.

The Semis everyone wanted are set. 57th & 59th.

Mi9ght be a good time for Old Dave to move on alone with some Others. Last few years on the hill been a mess. Last year players from everwhere now this year paying a big price for that.

Blows my mind a 3A enrollment school struggles so hard to find quality athletes for their sports teams. Congrats to my Panthers, love how this team is playing now, they pass well, see the floor well from all positions, make good hard cuts, etc. Once in a while they are taking soome really ill-advised shots (timing wise), but gotta love their confidence.

Actually the best shooter in the region is Gabe Ferrell from JC, shoots the 3 at a higher percentage, makes more per game and their attempts are real similar, Ferrell doesn’t always get the hype but he is the best pure shooter in the region, not a knock on Sammons at all he is a great shooter, but let’s all be real..,if we need a 3 and we can pick one kid in the region to take it we are all taking Cody Potter, he shoots it at about the same percentage as the others but with a lot more D focused on him and he’s taken close to double the attempts, but those 3 are all great shooters
