Raceland @ Portsmouth West

not sure. the staples will be there as usual im sure. Russell, Ashland, and Greenup unless im totally out of the loop on those. Then Fairview and Paintsville. That leaves 5 more games. Im not sure what the standing is on the contracts with themm not sure if they were 2 year or more. Id like to see us move on from the west carter game, imo. I did hear that the Raceland/Pikeville regular season game was coming back, but that was from someone within the pikeville program, but i havent heard it from anyone in ram Country yet. I would say that would take the place if one if the OH teams, West Carter, or Somerset. hope it replaces the West Carter game. Back when the series was on, we always played in week 3 i believe. That makes for a pretty solid schedule without having to travel a huge amount. anyone know nething about the contracts between the non district teams? also one change is coming is Ashland coming to Raceland either next year or in 2020.

I hope thatâs not right...was hoping for a beat down game around week 5 or 6! Someone that will put 50 on us to reboot the kids right in the middle of the season .Most will give me crap over this but I think itâs a plus

I would like to see us get someone on the schedule that we SHOULDNT beat and see hownwe respond. imo, the best teams, championship caliber teams, beat everyone they SHOULD and some of or atleast compete with those they SHOULDNT. but st the same time, if 70% of your games are competitive and make you play 4 quarters of football, you get the same benefit. i dont think it takes an ass whooping once a year to make u better and settle you back in. but in that same breath, we saw what happened to the 2013 and 2014 teams when they blew through the last 3 or 4 games and the first 2 or 3 gsmes of the playoffs. We didnt have to donmuch in order to win and by the time Willoamsburg rolled around, we were out of synch.

but there is far more to scheduling than meets the eye.

A bye plus Betsy Layne and Fairview sounds like plenty of mid to late season cream puff to me.

So basically after Taintsville we got crap! Then to weeks of creampuffs in the play offs! I donât think itâs intentional but it looks like a schedule that makes Mom and dad grin from the stands but doesnât make a team ready to compete for a state championship! You take Assland out of the equation and what is the records of the teams that Raceland has played to this point? Ok Nut...let me have it!

Travel man travel .. not to many teams around here want to play Raceland , I know salmons reached out to wheelersburg but greenup beat him to the punch , KY makes it so hard for teams to schedule out of state teams Bc it has to be same week for 2 years so unless you wanna drive 3.5 hours like this year to sumerset you donât have a lot of options

West Virginia has some good teams that are close! Huntington High , Springvalley, Cabell Midland all short trips
