Belfry 42 Newport Central Catholic 12

Nice win for Belfry. I actually thought this game would be a little closer.

Just a FYI. Newcath's d1 rb has been out for 3 games and so has 2 other starter. Not saying they beat Belfry at all, but game could've been different. Belfry is a great team an expect them to be right there deep in the playoffs. As I expect Newcath to surprise the state when playoffs start. It's a marathon not a sprint and week 4 is not a good week to pick a state champ. Long season to go. Good luck to both teams.

True it’s along season but I read these post and I don’t think anyone crowned a champ and don’t know where you come up with that but good luck to Newport hope they have a great and injury free year the rest of the way

Didn't mean it like someone picked a state champ. I was just saying it's to early to get a good read on a team that's got some injuries and things. Heck Belfry has a couple great players hurt still.
