Campbell up 7-6 at halftime, but started turning the ball over in the second half, and you can't do that and expect to beat Highlands. The Birds took advantage of the turnovers and ran the Camels into the ground in the second half. Campbell County looked dispirited and exhausted as the half wore on. Crowd was huge and pretty obviously expecting the Camels to do to the Bluebirds what they did to Dixie last week.

Were highlands scoring drives predominantly passing drives of rushing drives? How did the birds look overall?

Camels controlled the first half by mixing running and passing game. Then wanted to pass the whole second half. I do think Camels defense got tired. Kept throwing INTS. They never got much of a rest. They should have never abandoned the running game

I told people around me the second half kickoff to Highlands would be huge. They came out with 2 running backs. They didn’t do that the whole 1st half. I give the OFFENSIVE coordinator credit. Camels were knocking Birds QB on his butt the whole first half. So he lured Camels into thinking they were going to run. They ran about 3 plays getting a first down. I told EVERYONE they are going over the top. And sure enough they did. He was open by 25 yards. Then Camels fumble the kick off. A very short field for Highlands. Camels fumbled 2 KOs. Any team that has 6 or more turnovers. Good luck. Same would have been if Highlands did it. Highlands better than Camels. But not 4 TDS better.

Somewhat, but after the last two seasons it's a breath of fresh air.

Were we at the same game? Camels controlled the first half?
Was that you I saw giving BW a big hug and kiss after the game? As I called it in the prediction thread, a 3 to 4 score victory.

No they did not nor did Campbell. Highlands actually had more opportunities to put points on the board than did the Camels, but suspect play calling resulted in only six points being scored. No GUESS, had it on good word that Birds were 3 to 4 scores better and it proved out.
