Louisville Ballard vs Boyle County
#1
How is this game going to go:

I'll say:

Rebels - 52
Bruins - 6
#2
I was thinking more in the line of Boyle County 42-14.

As a dad of a player and living in Louisville, I will say Ballard has the talent to make it a game. Coaches can have a game plan but the kids gotta execute. I'll take our coach any everyday! Not gonna post a score but I think Boyle has this one.

And I will take our kids executing game plan with coach Smith and crew.

I just think our staff will prepare a game plan that will dominate the game on both sides of the ball.

Boyle County 35-7.

I agree. I have seen a couple Ballard kids play that have offers and a couple they talk about. I'm not impressed really. If what I've seen is that they bring, they have and give less effort than our boys. Not about the hype, but about the heart!

Boyle wins this. But I don’t believe it will be as high scoring as some believe. Not because they can’t. But because most coaches don’t want to show more than they have to early on. BC 35 Ballard 14
#9
I think Boyle will win, but not by the margin most people are expecting.

Boyle: 28
Ballard: 17
#10
I think the Rebel's defense will dominate. Their offense is good, but will get even better with each game. I feel that Ballard may still be trying to put all the pieces together with new players in the lineup. Boyle by 4 or 5 TD's.

Going with Boyle County in a close one. :yikes:

Boyle County 35
Ballard 28

Read on a different forum that Ballard starting RB (and UK offer) is out for a few weeks.

Just made a difficult task for Ballard, much more difficult.

Go Rebels!!!

Will Tanner Crawford be playing for Boyle?
#14
Boyle by two touchdowns.

No......he hasn't practiced due to a hip injury. Don't know when he'll be back.

Bartleson, McDaniel and Socco will be the RBs and the Rebels will be just fine.

I’m sure they will be ok, but Crawford was a few carries away from two thousand yards last year I’ll be glad when he’s in the back field and healthy.

Boyle County wins 38 to 7 with a 42 yard field goal by the freshman kicker. Boyle County shows up big unlike Fo Sho,haha.

Louisville-CJ has Ballard returning 7 starters on offense and 8 starters on defense. The transfer QB from CAL is a senior. Although new to the team, he has 3 years starting experience against quality competition.

The O-line and running game are the big questions for the Bruins.

Boyle Co is really good and expected to win. A blowout, that several have predicted, would be very impressive.

Boyle returns 6 starters on O and 8 on D on a team that won the 3A State Title. Boyle has an offense that is very balanced and can score very quickly with a variety of options.

The Boyle defense is going to be very good. A typical Rebels defense is a serious run-stopper.....in saying that, the secondary is uber athletic and fast.

I know Ballard has some stud athletes on their team and will come in jacked up. Chuck Smith will have the Rebels ready, and believe me when I say this......they will execute the game plan to a T.

Looking forward to an exciting game this Saturday!!!

I have a concern that with Crawford out the offense might struggle some. Bartelson will be the main carrier without Crawford to carry some of the load and Bartelson plays Defense as well. He might get a little worn out without the carries that Crawford brings.

What say you FoSho?

Crawford is a loss for sure HOWEVER Bartleson ran like a man in the scrimmage and is more than capable of carrying the primary load at RB. Like last season, the RB rotation is going to happen and along with Bartleson you got Socco and McDaniel who will share the load and can both be effective.

Also keep in mind that last year the passing game took a backseat to the running game. This season the psssing game is more than capable of picking up some additional load if needed.

I'm not concerned. Coach Smith will figure it out.

So, is the game at the field next to Mercer high school, or the other field next to the old Harrodsburg high?
