Looks like Harrison County is now open.
Any rumors?

The rumor is that Ray Graham is interested in coming back. Do you think that could work at this point in his career?

Harrison Co has been a disaster for YEARS. I would think, if they could lure Ray Graham back to that program, that would be a home run.

You may be right. They've been pretty quiet about the job. Maybe that's because it's the end of the school year, or maybe they have their guy already.
Any updates?

Harrison County is one of the great underachievers in the state. Hope they make a good hire and right the ship

Definate home run if Graham did return. Harrrison was competitive when he was there and the only year Rowan has been close to competitive in the last 10 was his last year there...and they ran him off. Harrison would be the only team I think he would entertain leaving G'town College for as they are primed for a deep NAIA playoff run the few years and he is coaching some stud running backs there.

I don't know if Ray would be the best fit at this point. He's obviously at the end of his career and Harrison needs someone who can commit to stay there several years and turn the program around. It will be interesting to see who applies this late in the year.

From an outsider looking in.....IMO, Graham appears to be the only logical choice....IF....they can even get him. My contacts in that part of the state continue to voice frustration regarding immaturity, lack of commitment, etc, etc. I think you're gonna need someone with a plan of attack, who's been thru a rebuilding project. Guess we'll just see what happens. Sad situation as it stands right now.

Any idea on what kind of interest they have had in the job?

Ive heard that Graham is very interested. Also, an assistant coach currently on staff. Haven't heard of any outside interest at this point. Not saying there isn't.....just nothing confirmed.

Very quiet in Cynthiana. Is Ray Graham still on the prowl for the job?

Heard they are interviewing next week. Not sure who will be brought in. Any ideas?

Apparently, they've had a ton of interest.

Is Harrison a district that pays particularly well? Because, no offense, but that seems kind of crazy if they have a lot of interest.

Pay is about the average for a district that size. I think some applicants see the potential, while others want to say theyâre in charge of a football program. From what Iâve heard, there are a couple of solid candidates who are from outside of Harrison. Then you have Ray Graham and Van Isaac (I think), who played there. Iâm not sure if the local guys would be the best choice, though, from what Iâve been told.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the day they interview, according to another site.

Any updates? I thought they would have hired this by the last day of school, so the coach could meet with the kids and any prospective students. Is football not a priority at Harrison County anymore?

I hear this has been filled with a familiar face...and they got a good one.

Ray Graham is the best coach the school has ever had and he is a fantastic guy. But the guy has to be close to 70 years old and he just took over a tough job. Good luck to him and Harrison Co.

Congrats to Ray. He still loves coaching and he still loves that community. Good luck.
