#1
The rivalry between Georgetown College and University of Pikeville men's basketball never seems to disappoint. Thursday the two titans delivered another thrilling game inside Davis-Reid Alumni Gym on GC's senior night.

The No. 11 Tigers (22-4, 7-4) rallied multiple times against the No. 2 Bears (24-3, 8-3) and then finally found the gas pedal coming out of a the first media break of the second half. The home team won 93-74 to pull within a game of the Mid-South Conference leading Bears.

Georgetown trailed by nine with 15 minutes left, went on a 9-2 run to be down two heading into the 12-minute media. Just shy of four minutes later, GC was up by double digits and it never got closer.

Jacob Conway tied the game for the 12th and final time at the 10:51 mark off an assist from Eljay Cowherd. Shadell Millinghaus put the Tigers up for good with an old fashion three.

The next possession Cowherd had a chance at an and-1 and while he missed the foul shot his determination got the offensive rebound. Another miss on that possession was rebounded by UPike, but Cowherd swooped in with the steal and a quick basket for a four-point trip.

Troy Steward got rolling with a pair of free throws and a basket. Malik Dow bookended that run with a basket.

GC's lead grew to as large as 23 as coach Chris Briggs took an opportunity to give the seniors – Darion Burns, Jahyde Gardiner, Trent Gilbert, Shadell Millinghaus, Quan Poindexter and Devon Rowan – all one final hooray in front of their home fans.

Millinghaus had a game-high 25 points, while Cowherd finished with a new career-high 19 points. Steward finished with 18 and Poindexter 11.

The Tigers are back in action 4 pm Saturday at Shawnee State University.
