Perry County Central 61 Hazard 59
#1
Final

Dores with a nice win over the little cousins.

Looks like Hazard is getting a lot better at finishing games. Going to be hard to beat them a 3rd time in the District final at Hazard. The Commodores could come into the Region a loser. That is if they get past Leslie in the first round of the districts. Smile

I cannot figure out PCC's game plan. They are much bigger than Hazard, but play further away from the basket. They settle for perimeter jump shots and contested threes. It worked for them last night, barely. This game plan will not work in the district and especially the region.

Really good game! Both teams played really hard, had a little old school feel in the atmosphere at times.

Hazard is getting better, and Perry will be right there at the end of the regional tournament.

Pelfrey hits a big shot, but Back comes right back with game winner.

Cameron Turner had a breakout game for Perry, makes Perry a deeper team.

Pennington had a big game for Hazard.

Good luck to both teams

Can someone explain to me how Hazard lost Noah Back on the game-winner?

That blew my mind.

My thoughts exactly! He was wide open!

Players today absolutely do not listen to their coaches!

You got that right KYFan. To many coaches these days are parent pleasers. Most are afraid they will make someone mad telling their kid what they need to do.

Hazard didn't lose Back. He came off of 2 screens and knocked down the shot
#12
It was a good game. Perry has to work on their defense.
#13
it didn't look like he came off of any screens to me, when cornett made the first pass it looked like back just went to the open spot on the floor. and hazard coach told his team in the huddle to make sure they stayed on back. a coach can only coach.

I realize this video picks it up mid-play, but if that's what two screens can get you I'm running it every time up the floor.
