Owsley County 64 Breathitt County 39
#1
Final
#2
I don’t have stats but was told after the game that Gibson had 29 points. She also had a lot of assists. And of course rebounds.
This team is very young other than Macie but they’re surprisingly effective for such a young group. They start two freshmen, one Junior, and one senior. The first two off the bench are a freshman and an eighth grader.

The other starter is a sophomore so a very young group, but also a very talented group. Macie led the way with 29. Didn't see stats but definitely a double/double for her. Lynch added 17 and Murray added 10.
This team can definitely put points on scoreboard in a hurry. Put up 64 last night on a cold shooting night.
Going to be a fun year for Lady Owls fans.

Well played game by the Owls. As predicted, Breathitt looks like they need some help on the hardwood and on the staff.

I have one question that has been bothering me most of the season last year and the Breathitt game really brought it back to surface; WHY ISN'T LYNCH STARTING AT POINT? She's the quickest player with the ball, she has great dribbling skills, sees the court, understands the offense and has the most basketball IQ of all the team.

McQueen can play and handle the ball but she is much better at complimenting Lynch at point than being point. Everyone has a role on a team, if you have ever played, you know this to be true.

The Lady Owls have good squad this year and will for the next few years, and it only makes sense to put her at point. The team looks a lot better, quicker and the players respond to her better. Let the best players lead and stop holding back the team from developing.

Does anyone else not see this? I just wonder what Coach Davidson is thinking?? Let the girls play their game and Lynch is the best fit for the job.
