Rockcastle County 30 Lou Moore 22
#1
Final from Louisville. Rock jump out to lead moore and never looked back. Moore made interesting at the end but rockets prevailed on will face wayne.

Tonight was first time i have ever seen a high school (Moore) team take a knee for national anthem. Seem to fire rock up little. But was cool hearing rocks fans singing the anthem when the audio was not working.

Wow.....:dontthink
Thought about making the trip. My wife went to another school near there. I thought about making the trip, but, that would have ticked me off pretty badly. Glad I wasn't there to see it.:Shaking:

I was so disappointed in the Moore kids taking a knee then the announcer saying they would not be doing an anthem so glad Rock faithful started singing the anthem and glad we won congrats

They kneeled then seen we was upset and decided not to do the anthem . but these girls started singing from the rock then most of the rock fans joined

The respectable team wins while Moore can now have rest of the year off to protest and dishonor America and our soldiers.

Congratulations Rock!! Both on your win and your patriotism!

WTG Rockcastle, happier that you won with this shameful behavior from Moore than any other win last night! Coming from a military family this has been a really tuff thing to watch coming from a sport that I love. Not one single person, behavior or law is changed by this disrespectful act by players refusing to stand for the National Anthem. Absolutely no measurable successful outcome comes from doing this in my opinion. All it does is corrupts the usually fun patriotic atmosphere before a football game. You sure do not get any measure of respect by showing disrespect. Proud of the ROCK!!!

I can relate to that statement. I was a teenager in the 60s, so I'm not foreign to demonstrations. I always appreciate peaceful demonstrations and support the right to do so.

However, I just cannot reconcile this format!! My father in law lost both legs in WWII, and my husband is a Vietnam veteran. He still suffers from PTSD that he has had for 40+ years. It makes me want to puke when I see the obvious disrespect to a nation that affords them the RIGHT to protest.

What are we teaching our young people??

Not sure if this is a rumor or the truth but heard today at lunch with some HS football friends one heard that during the handshake by the players after the game that every Rockcastle player said to Louisville as they shook their hand: "God Bless America". If true, good on the ROCK if not it made those in the Diner feel good today anyway!

Unlike the rumor of two new players for the Rock this week on another thread, this is 100% true!

Missed the word every. Not every but several of the players did.

So Rock will not be playing two players this Friday that have not played for them all year?

I hear one person talk about them as the second coming and now you're saying they don't exist. Funny.
