I'm sure there will be some debating about who should have made it and who shouldn't have, but I want to congratulate these young men and wish them the best of luck in December!

Congrats to all these kids on their HARD WORK!! I would have liked to seen Sizemore make it for the QBs but his stats aren’t as “pretty” and you can’t put a stat on toughness. Regardless I hope them mountain boys smash them preppy loserville kids in the mouth and show them what it’s like to play FB in eastern Ky.

Congratulations and well deserved for Ethan Simms and Caleb Mitchell on being named, these two kids can flat out play both very fast and physical. Mitchell does so much for the team plays safety, wide receiver, quarterback in the wildcat, and is our punter. Mitchell has kept the Hounds in good field position with the rugby style kicking and is a threat to run at anytime. Ethan Simms 6'2" 195 4.5 forty and very physical on defense and has had several kick returns for TD's.

The QB's were not picked on stats if so Sizemore's was as "prettier" than most

Mayer 113/180 21 td's - 2 ints 1942 yards .627% completion 133.6 rating
Sizemore 135/195 20 td's - 3 ints 1928 yards .692% completion 128.7 rating
Lindsey 126/222 24 td's - 7 ints 2182 yards .567% completion 113.2 rating
Langhi 111/215 11 td's - 4 ints 1567 yards .516% completion 84.7 rating

Less than 75 rushing yards separated the top from the bottom so that was not a big factor!

How are these players chosen? Only one kid (Dayton LeBlanc) on the team from Lexington public schools. CKY was well represented, as a whole, with Boyle, Danville, LCA, Mercer Co, and Madison Southern players on the team.

Darrell White, WR, Williamsburg is among the best players I've watched at his position.

congratulations to all the young men who made the roster. well deserved I'm sure. IMO, however.....there is a giant omission in leaving DB Devin Varney from Belfry off that team. A real head scratcher.

Western Hills RB not on team is surprising.

Wandale is only a junior. This team is made up of seniors.

Congrats to Collin Hartmann from Somerset

I am told Collin was contacted by Ohio State this week and I know he is visiting UofL and Tennessee coming up soon. State roster will be a force!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you could never ever ever get every kid on this roster who deserve to be there. I'm thankful for this group to have the experience. Baby Zak played in this game his Senior year, and it was so much fun. We meet so many good folks from around the state.

Not all kids from Louisville are "preppy". I've coached in both Louisville and the Mountains. Its just as tough to grow up in the streets as it is the holler.

My guess is that it's a typo for Kyle Hurt. That kid is a pretty good linebacker. He won the game against Corbin for Mayfield last season with that late interception.
