Actually, Pikeville technically has the "Best Record" in the 15th region with a 23-7 record (.767 winning percentage). JC has a .765 winning percentage (26 wins, 34 contests).

After the first round of District play, #11 Ballard was defeated by CAL, #7 Madison Central was defeated by Madison Southern, and #13 Greenup County lost to Raceland.

Within the 2nd round there are two Top 20 matchups:
