It's all about getting the right guy. We finally have and it's paying off and will continue to pay off. Sounds like Bell hit a homer as well. Coach Morris did a good job, it's really surprising they were able to upgrade like this.

Congrats to Coach Smith, he will be successful.. but lookout, Morris is on a mission in the boro. If kids buy in to his system, can take discipline and a little butt chewing they'll be successful! May need to bring his daughter in to show them what work ethic really is tho! Gonna be an interesting year!

How many regional titles has he won? Has he won a state title? I know nothing about him. Everyone says he is a great coach. Only negative is he may leave at any point.

He won a state championship at Tug Valley, W. VA. in the late 90's. He won a region championship at Christian County.

Smith is a major upgrade at Bell. Morris on the other hand will be better than Wilson at mboro and should win a lot of games with easy schedule. Bell and mboro are both happy to have new coaches.

Bell will be better if for no other reason than several of their keys players will be a year older, they were fairly young last year. Record will improve with the schedule being lighter, unless some games have been added recently.

Bell does lose three starters, but they did have some good young guards behind them, plus two pretty good post players.

Fresh start may do Morris good. He's a heck of a coach and he'll do a good job with what he has at the boro. Sounds like Smith is going to be good as a coach at Bell too. it's nice when things work out for everyone. I think coaching in the 13th is at an all time high right now across the board.

Bell win be better because the kids will want to play for Smith and he will play a style the kids will enjoy. Some people at bell turned on Morris is why he left. A fresh start would be good for Morris but I'm not sure Middlesboro is the place for him. Really Don't look for him to be there more than one year. Boro has problems all the way around with their athletics and someone else said they have a lot of teacher turnover every year.

I hear Bell County is having some good open gyms. We should shock some people this year! We are athletic and should be very good by January. I'm more excited about this season than I am about my new tree stand!
