Hazard 58 Powell County 36
#1
Is Powell County down that bad this year?
#2
I think they lost a lot of scoring last year.
#3
I think Hazard is just very good this year
#4
Just seen that Powell graduated most of their top players from year's past last season

Powell lost I they 7 out of the top 10 players from last season. They return one starter (Brown) F, a high end role player (Branham,) and another player with very little playing time. (Branham) a PG was probable going to be the 2nd best player on this year's team and going to give a good one two punch with Forward Dakota Brown, but Branham tore her ACL. And I believe they had a player quit, and another was on vacation. They have no seniors. However they did have a very, good crop of would be Seniors that would have provided another good season up to Powell's standards but through the years they all dropped of. Powell's current PG wasn't even the starting PG on last year's JV team so it is a big adjustment. They are a very inexperienced team. They are the ages of a JV Team with same level of experience, so to say. Against Hazard Powell had a non-official 32 turnovers, I think it could have been up to 40. As for Hazard they had one player take 7+ shots from the volleyball line, 0-7+ bad shot quality after you miss 2 or 3 I'd stop taking such a hard shot and find a shot with better quality. This year is going to be a rebuilding year after Powell's years of dominance. Go Lady Pirates!!!

That kind of shot selection is the coaches fault ! The player needs some pine time! If doesn't fix it , then I quess we are going to be home while Pcc plays on !! Come on bulldogs this fix this an keep marching on!
